12 TransJakarta Feeder Bus Stops Neglected

The termination of operational of six TransJakarta feeder buses route Puri Kembangan-Taman Kota since December 2012 has made 12 TransJakarta feeder bus stops in West Jakarta threatened to be scrap metals. Not only rusty, those bus stops are also used by street vendors to base.

Some of the 12 bus stops are located on Jalan Puri Kembangan Raya (precisely in front of Puri Kembangan Mall), Jalan Puri Indah, Jalan Kedoya Raya, Jalan Pilar, and Jalan Raya Kembangan.

“At first, I was selling beside the bus stop. But since the bus stop is never used, I moved here. Not bad, because I can trade without getting heat or caught in the rain,” said Yadi (42), drinks vendors in Puri Kembangan Mall TransJakarta Feeder Bus Stop, Saturday (8/16).

Responding this matter, Head of West Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department Monitoring and Control Section, Imam Slamet, explained that TransJakarta feeder bus operational was stopped because there were less enthused, thus the operational costs and income were not balanced.

“About the operational of TransJakarta feeder bus, that is the authority of TransJakarta bus management. While regarding the feeder bus stops which neglected, that is our responsibility. We’re still watching them through routine monitoring,” he stated.
